Rental Conditions
1. Rental and Extension
- The rental is for a fixed period, specified in the contract.
- Any extension must be approved by the rental company in advance.
- A rental day corresponds to 24 hours, starting from the time the vehicle is picked up.
- Any day started is due in full.
2. Driver Profile
- The vehicle can only be driven by the renter designated on the contract.
- The driver must be at least 21 years old and present:
- A valid ID card or passport
- A valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
3. Delivery and Pick-up
- Delivery and pick-up of the vehicle can be done at the customer’s chosen location.
- A credit card imprint is required upon delivery.
4. Vehicle Usage
- Using the vehicle on ungraded roads is prohibited.
- The vehicle must not be used for:
- Transporting goods prohibited by law
- Any other illegal activity
5. Payment
The rental payment is due in advance and can be made:
- Online
- By credit card
- In cash
The information requested on the website is necessary to process your order and is treated confidentially.
Online payment is simple, efficient, and secure.
Rates include unlimited mileage and VAT.
6. Deductible
- The deductible is the maximum amount that the renter is responsible for in case of damage or theft of the vehicle.
- The deductible amount varies depending on the vehicle category.
- The deductible is non-waivable and will only be payable if the customer is responsible.
- In the absence of damage or loss, the deductible amount will be refunded at the end of the rental.
- No delivery will be made without a security deposit.
7. Deductible Buy-down
- For an additional daily fee, the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) protects you from paying the full cost of damage in case of an accident, except for the non-waivable deductible.
- Ask your sales representative for the amount of the CDW and the non-waivable deductible.
8. Insurance
All customers are covered by:
- Unlimited third-party liability insurance
- Insurance for repairs of material damage
- Insurance for any accident where a third party is proven to be responsible
Vehicles are fully insured.
An accident report is mandatory for any accident.
Any damage not resulting from a properly reported accident or normal wear and tear of the vehicle is the responsibility of the customer.
9. Fines and Tickets
- The renter and any authorized drivers are responsible for fines and tickets.
- They agree to reimburse Select Rent a Car for any amount they pay on the renter’s behalf.
